MESSAGE FROM THE MODOHE CHAPTER PRESIDENT, SAINT RICE, EdD, CDE

Greetings Fellow Diversity and Inclusion Professionals,

We are excited about the rebirth of MODOHE. The founders of this chapter laid a solid foundation in which we plan to continue to build upon. Our mission is to serve as the preeminent voice for diversity officers in both the K-12 and higher education sectors in the state of Missouri. We will accomplish this goal by:

  • Using empirical evidence to inform equitable policies and practices

  • Providing professional development that addresses current DEI and social justice issues

  • Fostering professional statewide networks and collaborations

Finally, our motto for 2022 is “Rebound, Rebuild, Relive”. By working together, we can positively impact today’s educational structures for tomorrow’s society.

MODOHE is the state chapter of the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE). MODOHE was established to strengthen the common goal of inclusive excellence in higher education on a local and state level.

NADOHE serves as the preeminent voice for diversity officers in higher education by supporting our institutions efforts toward the attainment of the following goals: producing and disseminating empirical evidence through research and to inform diversity initiatives; identifying and circulating exemplary practices; and professional development for current and aspiring diversity officers.
